An Ethos of Social Justice

Is it time for the East & West of Christianity to develop an Ethos, a “character” to describe the guiding beliefs or ideals of a community of believers based on Mt 5-6-7 & 25 that all have in common? Think Patristics.

The Patristics: the mothers & fathers of Christianity spoke against social injustice. This tradition was revived in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century during the industrial revolution in East & West Christianity. Think intra-Christian & inter-religious dialogue.

What if we were to understand that humans and all of creation were destined for theosis, that creation itself is sacramental? Would that change how we behave in the world? This is an Eastern Christian concept.
