“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” J.R.R. Tolkien – The Fellowship of The Ring
At some point, we all face an understanding of the secret of life. I seriously doubt that we as humans go through an entire life and never ask the question, “What’s it all about?”
At some point in life, we all seem to get closer to the secret of our life. An understanding of the meaning of life and the role we play in the ongoing evolution of humanity.
There are those moments when we experience that “voice” that says: “I want you to do something for me. I know you can do it better than anyone else in the world.”
There will be that moment in each of our lives that we will recognize the vision that shares the role we play in evolution. There will be that moment when we see the hope for humanity and our little part of inching all of humanity a tad closer to the goal.
And as Gandalf said, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
