Reflections 6.19.19

Lord, as we start out each day, nudge us to be kind, to say only that which builds up one another. To reach out to those in need and be a source of comfort.
Each day I reflect on the writings of my favorite Patristic teacher, Ephrem.
“Scripture brought me to the Gate of Paradise, and the mind stood in wonder as it entered.” ― Ephrem the Syrian

I am thinking about “Conscious awareness”. . . I realize it is the act of Emphasizing the innate desire to ‘know,’ to learn and discover who we are as human beings. The emphasis is on “conscious,” which triggers transformation.

In life, Philosophy and Science are not something just a select few academics engage in the study….Science & Philosophy are symbiotic in our life. Together we gain knowledge and most importantly, wisdom. For it is wisdom that is reflective of the greater good.  Keep in mind the words of Plato here….

Better a little which is well done, than a great deal imperfectly.” – Plato

As I go out the door, Lord, be with my friends, relatives, and those I come to meet this week, help them to grow, be with them in their struggles, and let us grow together in Your love.

The eye with which I see God is the same eye with which God sees me: my eye and God’s eye are one eye, one seeing, one knowing, and one love.” —Meister Eckhart
